CASE STUDY
Implementing commercetools for Breville’s B2C Commerce Platform
Industry | Manufacturing & Retail
Technology | commercetools
Location | Australia, USA & UK
Founded in Sydney in 1932, Breville has become an iconic global brand that enhances people’s lives through thoughtful design and brilliant innovation, delivering kitchen products to more than 70 countries around the globe. Breville is a kitchen appliance brand that delivers innovation based on consumer insights, empowering people’s potential to do things more impressively and easily than they thought was possible in their own kitchen. Breville was looking to re-platform their eCommerce engine from Elastic Path to commercetools combining multiple sites like Breville.com & Beanz.com.
By partnering with Royal Cyber, Breville adopted an Event-Driven and Cloud-Native Architecture with Microservices to customize a set of use cases. These included setting up environments for payments, taxes, shipping methods and channels in DEV, QA, UAT and Prod instances on commercetools. This transition also helped to facilitate third-party integrations such as such as SignifyD, Avalara, Adyen payment, Credit Card, Paypal and Affirm among others.
