CASE STUDY
Implementing BigCommerce to Enhance Mico’s B2C eCommerce Portal
Industry | Plumbing
Technology | Big Commerce
Location | New Zealand
New Zealand’s premier supplier of plumbing equipment and materials, Mico, is a part of the New Zealand Distribution group within Fletcher Building and shares a close relationship with PlaceMakers. The company was incorporated in 1949 and is represented across 70 branches nationwide. Their commitment to service for over 70 years with a wide range of quality products, value for money and a focus on satisfying customer needs is what makes it an outstanding supplier. The client was looking to make enhancements to their eCommerce portal due to the limitations of their current existing platform. The main goal was to grow the market share of the consumer and retail side of the business with a focus to overcome the limitation of the current platform.
By partnering with Royal Cyber, the client was able to adopt a BigCommerce eCommerce platform for a seamless customer experience. We helped to extract the technical data from the Live site to develop the information on a staging site supporting the product data feed on to the BigCommerce platform. We also assisted the client with managed and production support services including, the development of changes in a BigCommerce based eCommerce platform, meeting end-user expectations with effective eCommerce functioning and unit testing and deploying the code to test the server among many others. The client also wanted to re-platform the new storefront using BigCommerce, which leverages all the existing functionalities and improves the customer experience.
